Altium develops software for designing printed circuit boards and managing electronics hardware development. Its flagship desktop tool, Altium Designer, covers schematic capture, PCB layout, routing and manufacturing outputs. The Altium 365 cloud platform connects designers with reviewers, mechanical engineers, procurement and manufacturers through shared projects, version control and browser-based viewing. Altium Agile extends this to multidisciplinary and enterprise teams with requirements tracking, governed bills of materials, sourcing workflows, audit trails and integrations with PLM, ERP and Jira. Octopart supplies component search with pricing, inventory, lifecycle and compliance data. Altium serves individual engineers, startups and large electronics manufacturers, and has been a subsidiary of semiconductor maker Renesas since 2024.
