Cloudflare operates a worldwide network that sits between visitors and a company's websites, applications and internal systems. Traffic routed through it is cached and accelerated by the CDN and Argo Smart Routing, and filtered against attacks with DDoS mitigation, a web application firewall, Bot Management and API Shield. Magic Transit protects whole networks, and Cloudflare Zero Trust replaces VPNs with identity-based access to internal tools. Developers also build directly on the network with Workers for serverless code, Pages for frontends, R2 for object storage without egress fees, D1 for SQL databases, and Stream and Images for media. It is used by individual developers, online businesses and enterprise security and infrastructure teams.
