About CircleCI

CircleCI automates the steps between a code change and its release. Each commit pushed to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket triggers a pipeline defined in a configuration file, which builds the application, runs the tests and deploys it when they pass. Jobs run in Docker containers or on Linux, macOS, Windows and Arm machines, and can be split in parallel and cached to shorten build times. Reusable configuration packages called orbs cover common integrations, and insights dashboards show slow or flaky tests. Teams use the hosted cloud service, self-hosted runners or a server edition installed on their own infrastructure. It is used by software engineering and platform teams.
