Databricks

Databricks provides a cloud platform where data engineers, analysts and data scientists work on the same data. It is built on the lakehouse architecture, which stores data in open formats on cloud object storage and adds the performance and governance of a data warehouse. Teams use it to build pipelines, run SQL analytics, and train and serve machine learning models, with access control and lineage managed centrally. The product range includes Databricks Lakehouse for SQL warehousing, Lakebase, a serverless Postgres database for applications, Agent Bricks for building AI agents on company data, and Genie, which lets business users query data in natural language. It is used mainly by data teams in mid-sized and large organisations.
