About Elmo

Elmo helps brands and agencies practice answer engine optimization, also called generative engine optimization, by measuring how AI models talk about them. It runs tracked prompts against ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Copilot, Grok and models available through OpenRouter, combining scraping of what real users see with direct API calls. The dashboard reports visibility, share of voice, sentiment and position, shows which sources and citations the models rely on, and points to opportunities to get recommended. Elmo is MIT-licensed and can be self-hosted for free, or used as a managed cloud service on a monthly plan. It serves marketers, brands and SEO consultancies.
