Factory develops Droids, AI agents that take on software engineering work for startups and large enterprises. Engineers assign a goal, and the agents plan the change, write the code, run tests and open pull requests, while the team keeps control of goals and policies. Droids run from a desktop app, the terminal, the web or a CLI, and can be scheduled through automations for recurring work such as migrations or maintenance. The platform also reviews pull requests, keeps an automatically updated wiki for each repository and routes each task to the most suitable model. Administrators get analytics on adoption and usage per developer and team, plus governance options for where agents run.
