LightOn builds technology that lets large organisations put their internal documents to work with AI. Its platform reads documents in any condition, including scans, PDFs, emails and spreadsheets, extracts facts such as dates, names, amounts and clauses, indexes millions of pages and answers questions with sources while respecting existing access rights. Companies can connect models from different providers to this governed knowledge layer instead of copying data into each tool, and build applications for search, comparison, extraction, monitoring and scoring. LightOn trains its own open-weight models for document understanding and retrieval. It serves banks, industrial groups, insurers and public administrations, and is listed in Paris.
