October 2026Lovable has changed how I approach mockups and prototypes. I can turn an idea into something interactive quickly, test different directions, and refine the experience without spending hours designing static screens. For my needs, it has replaced Figma. That said, I would be cautious about taking a prototype straight into production. I wouldn’t trust it alone to build a commercial application with demanding security and compliance requirements.
Pros
- Great for creating interactive mockups and prototypes quickly.
- Makes it easy to test ideas and iterate.
- Reduces the gap between imagining a product and trying it.
- Has replaced Figma in my prototyping workflow.
Cons
- A convincing prototype can create a false sense of production readiness.
- I would still want experienced developers to review and harden the application before launch.
- I wouldn’t rely on it alone for a commercial product with strict security and compliance requirements.
