Scandit develops software that turns the camera of smartphones, tablets and other smart devices into an enterprise-grade data capture tool. Developers embed its SDKs for iOS, Android, web and cross-platform frameworks to scan single or multiple barcodes, read text and barcodes on labels, and scan and verify identity documents, with augmented reality overlays to guide workers. For retailers, Scandit adds a store intelligence platform that uses captured shelf and inventory data to drive tasks such as on-shelf availability checks, planogram and price compliance, expiry management, in-store picking and self-checkout loss prevention. Customers include retail, postal and parcel, airline, logistics, manufacturing and healthcare organisations.
