October 2026Sentry is a revolution for me. Before, I only learned about a bug when I was testing myself or when a user took the time to tell me, which means most of them went unnoticed. Now every error that happens in production shows up in Sentry, with the exact page, the browser and the line of code involved. In the first days I discovered errors I had never heard of, on flows I thought were working. As a co-founder who is not a an engineer it really helps me.
Pros
- I see bugs nobody reported: every production error, grouped, with how many times it happened and how many users it hit
- The details are precise enough to fix fast: page, browser, stack trace pointing to the line of code
- It also flags slow pages and the database queries behind them, not just crashes
- The email alerts mean I know about a new problem within minutes
Cons
- At first there is noise: errors thrown by users’ browser extensions show up as if they were yours, and you have to set up filters
- The interface is dense, and takes some time to get used to when you are not a developer
