WorkAdventure provides browser-based virtual worlds in which remote and hybrid teams, event organisers, schools and recruiters meet as avatars. Users move around a 2D map and start audio or video conversations simply by approaching each other, which recreates spontaneous office interactions. Organisations design their own maps and branded spaces for daily work, meetings, conferences, workshops, hackathons, virtual classrooms, open days and career fairs. The product is offered as a hosted SaaS with paid plans and its code is open source on GitHub, so it can also be deployed on an organisation's own servers. The company is based in Paris and positions its service as GDPR compliant.
