About Asana

Asana is a work management tool in which teams plan projects and track who is doing what by when. Work is broken down into tasks with owners and due dates, then viewed as a list, a board, a timeline or a calendar. Portfolios and goals give managers a view across projects, forms collect incoming requests, and rules automate routing and status updates. More recent additions include AI teammates that take on steps of a workflow, and dedicated offers for service management and for agencies managing client work. It is used by marketing, operations, product and IT teams in companies of all sizes.

Useful but complexe

Pros: • Effortless team collaboration: It makes cross-functional teamwork smooth, transparent, and easy to track across projects. • Extensive integrations & automations: The wide range of native connectors and workflow automations saves hours on repetitive tasks. • Scalable workflows: Ideal for organizing complex roadmaps, sprints, and daily operations in one place. Cons: • Steep learning curve for less organized profiles: It thrives when users already have strong organization habits; team members who aren't naturally structured can quickly feel overwhelmed by the depth of features.

Très bon pour bosser à plusieurs sur des gros projets. Pas forcément adapté pour gérer une multitude de petits projets qui se répètent type déploiements chez un client, bien que ce soit mon usage. Feature IA assez poussée et efficace.

Used as a project management tool, to document the progress internally for our team. Mainly for projects on the roadmap, not for the run (we use jira tickets for that).
