Hotjar helps product, marketing and UX teams understand what visitors do on their website and why. Heatmaps show where people click, move and scroll on a page, and Session Replay plays back individual visits to reveal bugs, hesitation and drop-offs. Funnels measure where users abandon a key journey, such as checkout or signup. To hear from users directly, teams run on-site surveys built from templates and unmoderated user tests on a site or prototype. A script installed on the site collects the data. Hotjar was founded in Malta and is now part of Contentsquare. It is used by small and mid-sized companies, agencies and product teams.

A must-have tool for improving an e-commerce store
Hotjar has been an incredibly valuable tool for improving my e-commerce store. The heatmap feature gave me clear insights into where visitors were clicking, how far they were scrolling, and which elements were attracting the most attention, helping me optimize both the user journey and conversion funnel. Another feature I found particularly useful was the ability to trigger a small survey when a visitor was about to leave the site. This allowed me to collect valuable feedback directly from potential customers and better understand the reasons behind abandonment or hesitation. Overall, Hotjar combines quantitative and qualitative insights in a very intuitive way, making it a great addition to any e-commerce optimization toolkit.
