Vercel hosts and deploys web applications for development teams. A project is connected to a Git repository, and each push produces a build and a preview URL that can be reviewed before it goes to production, where the site is served through a global network with serverless functions behind it. The company maintains Next.js, the open-source React framework most of its customers build with. It has added tooling for AI applications: the AI SDK for calling language models from code, AI Gateway for routing requests across model providers, Sandbox for running untrusted code and Workflows for long-running tasks. It is used by frontend and product engineering teams, from startups to large companies.
