SolarWinds develops software that helps IT operations, network and database teams monitor and manage hybrid, on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Its observability products collect metrics, logs and traces across networks, servers, applications and databases, with self-hosted and SaaS deployment options. The portfolio also includes network configuration and IP address management, database performance tools such as Database Performance Analyzer and SQL Sentry, IT service management with Service Desk and Web Help Desk, remote support with Dameware, security event and access rights tools, and incident response with on-call scheduling from the Squadcast acquisition. SolarWinds sells to IT departments of mid-sized and large organizations worldwide and was taken private by Turn/River Capital in 2025.
