Discord

Discord is a communication app where people gather in servers, which are spaces split into text channels for written discussion and voice channels that members can join and leave freely. Users talk by voice or video, share their screen, send files and exchange direct messages. Server owners manage access with roles and permissions, and extend their server with bots and integrations. It started with video game players, who valued its low-latency voice chat, and is now also used by open-source projects, creators, study groups and companies that run a customer or developer community there. The app is free, and the Discord Nitro subscription adds better streaming quality, larger uploads and customisation.
