Slack is honestly one of the tools I use the most at work. It makes it easy to communicate with the team, keep conversations organized, and avoid endless email threads. I also really like the integrations with other tools we use every day. The downside is that Slack can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are often too many notifications, channels, and messages, and it’s easy to get distracted or miss something important.

Pros: easy to navigate and use, even for first timers regularly enriched with new features

Cons: many notifications: you can spend your day on Slack Information can still become difficult to find processes automated on Slack are not transferable

happy with it since 2018 now. on top of the obvious internal communication I have external channel and a bunch of workflow

Slack — the backbone of any org's communication. Best-in-class and the clear market leader. Honestly, not much needs to be said: you can do everything with it, automate everything, connect everything. It's a genuine staple of the modern stack. The only real downsides: it can get a bit pricey, and the integrations that came out of the Salesforce acquisition haven't delivered the game-changing features or upside you might have hoped for. But none of that changes the verdict. Slack remains an absolute essential.
