July 2026Slack is a great tool for team collaboration and makes asynchronous work much easier. The built-in AI features are a real productivity boost, especially for translations and summarizing channels or conversations.
Pros
- Smooth asynchronous collaboration across teams
- Built-in AI features (translation, channel/conversation summaries) save time and boost productivity
- Flexible and widely adopted, easy to integrate into daily workflows
- Integration with other tools
Cons
- Can quickly become messy and overwhelming if not properly maintained
- Requires strong discipline from all users to stay effective
- Without consistent usage rules, information gets lost among too many unstructured messages
