September 2026Slack is honestly one of the tools I use the most at work. It makes it easy to communicate with the team, keep conversations organized, and avoid endless email threads. I also really like the integrations with other tools we use every day. The downside is that Slack can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are often too many notifications, channels, and messages, and it’s easy to get distracted or miss something important.
Pros
- easy to navigate and use, even for first timers
- regularly enriched with new features
Cons
- many notifications: you can spend your day on Slack
- Information can still become difficult to find
- processes automated on Slack are not transferable
